Two ideas from inner world — two from outer word. One goal that connects them.
April 1, 2023.
Happy Sunday… and April Fool’s Day! It’s official: there’s a Harry Potter series in the works at HBO. It’s really a happy Sunday – and no, it is not an April Fool! But relax, today is not yet Sunday 🙂
If you want to prank someone on April Fool’s Day, buy them my books… that are not ready yet.
While they wait, here are di 2 ideas + 2 quotes of this week…
Inner world
1
I can make myself do anything… by changing a few words.
- I don’t exercise (sounds too tiring). I’m beating yesterday’s me.
- I don’t save (that’s a sacrifice). I’m buying my next product, bit-by-bit.
- I don’t buy healthy foods (feels too expensive). I’m investing in health.
Reframing.
2
“I walked by a blind beggar – his cup was empty, his sign was: “I am blind.”
I quickly added 4 more words.
… and the man’s daily earnings just doubled!
The new sign?
“It is springtime and I am blind.”
— Rosser Reeves (the pioneer of television advertising)
Outer word
1
Harry Potter is not real… but magic spells do exist!
- Thank you
- Sorry
- I love you
… with these, you can completely change a person’s behavior — in just 1 second.
2
“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic.”
— J. K. Rowling (one of the greatest author of our time)
Greatness
Making yourself do anything is really hard.
Changing others’ behavior is like a shard.
… can you do both?
You’re a wizard.
“Learn to sell. Learn to build. If you can do both, vou will be unstoppable.”
— Naval (one of the best modern philosopher)
